		<description>I wouldn&#039;t be too worried about the whole &quot;gimmick&quot; thing. Deadlands worked in the poker chips and cards really well into the basic system, yet I still met people who felt it was &quot;too much stuff&quot; to bring. 

Granted, many of those people where old world of darkness guys with more splatbooks to choke a camel, but there is something to be said about the portability of dice.</description>

As a matter of fact, last summer I designed a short fantasy game that uses scrabble tiles as part of its magic system/resolution, &lt;a href=http://arcrpgs.wordpress.com/2007/08/19/system-in-a-can-entries/]Runic Realms. It&#039;s somewhat inspired by good old Legend of Mana and similar console games. There was no good opportunity to playtest it so far, unfortunately.</description>
